I do not like the taste of water and battle to drink my required daily allowance. I far prefer sparkling water, are there any health risks involved or can I substitute still water with sparkling?

Sparkling water is water, the only difference being that carbon dioxide gas has been added, the gas could cause a bit of bloating, but other than that, there are no health risks associated.

Whatever form of water you drink, it is still healthy. Try to avoid the flavoured water with added sugars, as they contribute to increased calories and can increase your blood sugar levels as well. You can safely drink your required daily allowance of plain sparkling water every day.
